Hilary Foulkes

Hilary Foulkes is a board member of Chord Energy and serves on the Compensation and Human Resources Committee and the Safety and Sustainability Committee. She previously served as Chair of the Board of Directors at Enerplus Corporation until its combination with Chord Energy in May 2024.

Ms. Foulkes has over 40 years of oil and gas experience combining upstream operations, strategic planning, investment banking, leadership and corporate governance. She serves as independent advisor to TPH Canada, an energy advisory firm, and is on the Board of Directors of Pine Cliff Energy, a Canadian oil and gas producer. Ms. Foulkes held executive roles with Calgary based Penn West Energy, including Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Ms. Foulkes was a Managing Director at Scotiabank and executed M&A transactions throughout North America and Asia. Prior thereto, Ms. Foulkes held various technical upstream exploration and operational roles with increasing leadership responsibilities and strategic focus.

Ms. Foulkes holds an Honors Bachelor of Science degree (Earth Sciences) from the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. She is a lifetime member of both the Canadian Energy Geoscientists Association (CEGA) and Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).
